I was talking to my mate and he told me how sections of Bayern Munich fans hate Neuer. He said was a massive Shalke fan who became an ultra on the terraces at Gelshinkerchen. There was a big scene when Shalke either won or won the league at the Allianz and Neuer ran to the corner flag to imitate Oliver Khan's celebration when they pipped Shalke to the title in Apparantly he had to sign a code of conduct banning him from celebrating with the rest of the team at the end of games! How true is this and if true to what degree?
Re: Do certain Bayern Munich fans hate Neuer? It's all true, some stupid Bayern fans hate their own keeper who saves their ass almost every single match. Not all Bayern fans hate him just some of the extreme maniacs. I believe he is slowly winning them over though.
Yes, it was quite a big deal back when Neuer signed for Bayern. I assume they appreciate him a bit more nowadays. So in a way Neuer is stuck between a rock and a hard place. To be honest Neuer's 1st Season has been average.
Brilliant at times mediocre at times, overall nothing extra-ordinary. I think he was the most jobless keeper in history if you consider shots on goals. People who saw he saved our asses and stuff absolutely have 0 Footballing Knowledge.

Indian Super League, It was a good move for all concerned, except presumably the frustrated forwards he thwarted. Neuer was usually busier defensively at Schalke 04 than at Bayern. Not unusually, Bayern were leading by a large margin, and it was seen by some as an act of disrespect, but Neuer explained he did it to keep warm and maintain his focus.
Admitting it's psychologically harder to keep his concentration at optimum levels when the game is largely being played without him, he has had to find ways around it. This communication keeps my concentration high. Neuer understands as well as anyone how costly a lapse in concentration can be. Neuer has won the treble since moving to Bayern, but the transfer wasn't roses all the way. Schalke fans still haven't forgiven their star for leaving; he never received the farewell and appreciation he deserved.
Meanwhile, it's not even as if he could run for cover in Bavaria: many Bayern fans refused to accept their new signing. Club loyalty is always a sensitive subject in Germany, but leaving die Knappen was an emotional decision for Manu. His tears said it all, but sadly few Schalke fans reciprocated those feelings. Reactions were negative, and in one case even violent.
Bayern's top management would repeatedly apologise to the keeper on behalf of their fans' behaviour, and it took some time for Bayern fans to warm to him.
